Political Corruption
Public resources belong to the public.
Corruption — the misuse of public office or public funds for private gain — has long been identified as a serious obstacle to development in Haiti. International corruption indexes have consistently ranked Haiti among the countries perceived as most affected.
When money meant for roads, schools, hospitals or disaster recovery is lost to corruption, ordinary Haitians pay the price. Corruption also discourages honest investment and erodes trust in government.

Our position
We stand for transparency and accountability for everyone in public life, regardless of party. We encourage our community to stay informed, support independent journalism and civil society, and ask how resources — including aid and remittance-funded projects — are being used.
